English Phrase of the Week: Play with me!

Today we are excited to announce the start of a new series on our blog: English Phrase of the Week. We would like to give families the chance to practice some practical English phrases at home. Once a week we will share a useful English phrase to help young speakers better express themselves.

To start off our new series, we have the important phrase: “Play with me!” Young children are excited to start playing with their classmates and teachers, but sometimes are not sure what to say. “Play with me!” can be used for any kind of activity, from blocks to puzzles to hide and seek. In this case, we do not need to use “please,” but “Please play with me!” and “Play with me please!” are both also okay. So the next time your child wants to play together, try encouraging them to say, “Play with me!”
