March 5th (Tue)

Today was a little quieter with one student absent, but we still had lots of excitement! S. tried the 9 piece puzzle for the first time and was able to complete it! She is always very determined when she tries something new and keeps trying hard.

H. worked very hard writing his name with stickers. It was his first time but he tried very hard to put the stickers on the lines. Even though his name is a little long, he stayed focused and finished the whole thing!

The students’ sense of community is growing! Today I. asked me to make him a playdough ball but I was busy. H. heard and turned to I. and offered to make the ball for him! The children are quickly learning to look out for each other.

With the warmer weather, the children were very excited to play at the park. S. tried climbing up the play structure for the first time after watching I. do it. At first she couldn’t do it and started to walk away, but then she changed her mind and came back. With a little help, she was able to make it to the top! The children are learning so many new skills!

The weather has finally warmed up so the children played with water a lot today! They all wanted to play so it was a good chance for them to practice taking turns at the water spigot. It’s still a little difficult for them to turn off the water when they are finished, but we’ll keep practicing!

English Gakudo, we had S. today. We enjoyed Minecraft together. It was fun!
