March 6th (Wed)

What a busy day! Even with just four students, everyone was very active and tried many things. The children have been improving their listening skills a lot; they can stay focused on the storybook much better now. Today, they were very interested in listening and identifying the pictures in the book. What great progress!

Today S. and H. practiced playing a guessing game. They would hide a car behind their back and ask me, “What color?” and I would have to guess. The new phrase was a little difficult for them at first, but very quickly they were both able to say it! I. was very curious and watched carefully.

We recently got some new puzzles for the younger children and they’ve been excitedly working on them every day! They’ve gotten much faster and have gotten better at turning the pieces to fit in the holes. They especially like the fruit puzzle and love telling me what fruit they are holding. Their favorite is “Apple!”

Just like the younger students, S. has been working hard on a new puzzle. Today she was able to complete it all by herself! She has gotten much better at focusing and working on the puzzle until it is completed. It is great to see the students’ attention spans increasing.

We can’t wait to see what will happen the next busy day!
